BEAMSHAPER MODULE

This animation shows a single Beamshaper module creating an aerial beam effect in time to slow music. With Beamshaper, you just sit back and watch a light show, automatically choreographed to live music.

Beamshaper really shines on a multi-color projector such as the Beamburst Amber. Fingers of light reach out and over the audience.
The top photo shows slow music, the bottom photos show when the tempo picks up. Parameters controlled include beam size, color, speed, and direction.
Best of all, it happens automatically and perfectly on the beat.

Add the optional second Beamshaper module, and you have crossing aerial laser beam patterns like this. They are complementary but not identical, to give infinite variety and interest.

Additional high-resolution photos are on the Beamshaper press release page.

Every 8-turret Beamburst laser projector now comes with a FREE Beamshaper module. This amazing new computerized effect creates aerial laser shows that are automatically synchronized to music.

  • With 1-color Beamburst laser projectors, the Beamshaper makes a sheet of light that pulsates in time to the music. Sit back and relax as the laser takes the beat. (These 1-color projectors are the Ruby and Emerald models. The animation at left gives an idea of these 1-color Beamshaper patterns.)

  • Where the Beamshaper really shines, is with multiple-color Beamburst projectors. The aerial light sheet effect comes alive with bands and beams of color. It looks like the much more expensive laser light shows you've seen at major concerts and spectacular events.(These multiple-color projectors are the Amber and Fuchsia models. The still photos at left show how multiple colors enhance the laser show effect.)

Music-synchronized aerial laser shows

Lumascan laser graphics - Beamshaper scanhead. Click for larger view. The magic comes from the built-in microphone and computer. The stylish Beamshaper module is designed exclusively for Lumalaser by one of the oldest, best-known laser show companies in the world. They know what makes a great laser show, and they put their know-how into the Beamshaper's sophisticated software. It thinks like a laserist does, changing beam size, color, speed and direction in time with the music.

For example, when music is slow and soft, you see broad, flowing bands of llight. For quick peaks and loud hits, you get individual beams. The entire pattern moves as well, plus there are periods of symmetry and asymmetry.

What all this means is that you get perfectly synchronized aerial laser shows, automatically. You don't even have to be anywhere near the projector -- run it hands-off!

Even better, the Beamburst projector can be set to chase between the Beamburst's seven other beam steering modules as well. This gives you a variety of effects, including straight Star Wars-like beams, multiple-beam diffraction effects, and the Beamshaper concert look.

Add a second Beamshaper module

You get one Beamshaper module FREE with your Beamburst projector. For extra excitement, add a second module for just $245. With two modules, you get two mirrored sheets of shimmering color.

Since each Beamshaper has its own microphone and computer, the aerial effects they produce will be complementary.

Sound great? See for yourself. The videos below show the automatic music synchronization in action. All clips feature a Beamburst Amber (red/yellow/green) projector. Both single-module and dual-module shows are shown.

Each video clip uses Windows Media Format (WMF); the filesize is approximately 1 MB.

Add to Mobolazer, too

Beamshaper comes free with all Beamburst 8-turret projectors manufactured after September 2003.

We are also developing a retrofit version for older Beamburst 8-turret projectors, as well as Mobolazer brand laser projectors. Installation is simple -- just put it on one of your existing turrets, and plug it into the projector. You can retrofit a maximum of two Beamshapers per projector.

We expect the retrofit to begin shipping in late November 2003. For more information on availability and pricing, please contact Lumalaser directly.

Omnisistem users: Sorry, unlike some of our other accessories, the Beamshaper Module does not work with Omnisistem brand projectors.

The next step: Lumascan

The only thing better than the Beamshaper module is our Lumascan graphics head. It lets you project shapes, drawings, text and graphics from the Beamburst. You can read more about Lumascan here.
