Aerial beam effects now standard on club laser projectors

Simi Valley, Calif. – Laser projectors for nightclubs and discos now provide exciting new aerial beam effects, at no extra charge. Lumalaser has begun shipping the “Beamshaper” module as standard equipment on its Beamburst projectors.

Beamshaper makes sheets, beams and bands of light that automatically pulsate and change in time to music. The result looks like a laser show from a much more expensive type of projector. Having constantly moving beam effects adds great variety to the DMX-controlled Beamburst projector, which also includes seven other mirror and beam effect modules.

One Beamshaper is included free with all 8-turret Beamburst projectors. A second Beamshaper can be added, to give wider coverage and synchronized multiple-beam shows. Beamshaper is also available separately, as a retrofit for older Beamburst and Mobolazer projectors.

The Beamshaper module may seem simple, but it actually is a complex system designed to “think like a laserist”. It includes a computer that automatically responds to music in ways similar to that of laser shows at concerts and major events. The computer response was developed by one of the world’s leading laser show artists, Steve Heminover, 4-time president of the International Laser Display Association who has won multiple awards for his laser work.

The Beamburst line of laser beam effect projectors, was designed by former Mobolazer president Neville Blake. Lumalaser president Tim Ziegenbein notes that “we see Beamburst as the successor to Mobolazer-type projectors. We’ve taken the Mobolazer idea and added new laser colors, greater reliability, and new effects like Beamshaper.” Lumalaser also manufactures Colorburst laser projectors, which add the capability for professional-quality logos, graphics and animations.

Photos and videos of Beamshaper in action are online at Lumalaser’s website, at the page http://www.lumalaser.com/beamshaper_beamburst.htm.
