QUICK OVERVIEW
BEAMBURST AND COLORBURST LASER PROJECTORS

If you want to present the best laser shows, you want the best laser projectors. Lumalaser has a complete line, from full-color animated graphics, to beam-only shows.

Beams from a Beamburst Aqua 250 projector -- click for larger imageThe classic Beamburst series is ideal for nightclubs, discos, raves and other locations needing spectacular Star Wars-like laser beams and special effects.

Beamburst projectors shoot the laser in 8 or 10 different directions. Add-on modules split the beams into a few, or hundreds of smaller shafts, to fill your venue with laser light.

To become a "laser DJ", simply switch the mirrors in time to music using a standard DMX lighting controller. These controllers are readily available; if you do not have one, Lumalaser can provide the ETA Systems Imagenation series.

BEAMBURST PROJECTORS

For impressive beams in a rugged, reliable projector, choose one of the ten Beamburst projectors briefly summarized below. They differ primarily in the laser colors, laser brightness, and number of beam positions.

For more detailed information, see Beamburst Models & Specifications.

  Diamond 350

Lumalaser Beamburst Diamond 300 laser show projector -- click for larger imageFill the skies with rainbow beams, with the  six-color Diamond 350 beam projector. By blending colors, you can get any color of the rainbow with this high-end projector.

Use a room-filling 350 mW (over 1/3 watt) of colored beams from a diode/argon laser combination. Ten beam apertures (up to six can be on simultaneously). Comes with 10 standard modules plus 6 extras, for color splitting and beam sprays.

  Aqua 300

Lumalaser Beamburst Aqua 250 laser show projectorIf you don't need reds and yellows, choose the Aqua 300.

It gives you the same impressive beams as the Diamond 350, but with shades of green and blue generated from a 300 mW (just under 1/3 watt) argon laser that produces green, aqua, blue and deep blue.

  NEW! Fuchsia 50

Lumalaser Beamburst Fuchsia laser show projectorsThe Fuchsia 50 compact projector features a new deep violet diode along with a red diode. By mixing these together, you can get red, fuscia and "black light" from a single projector.

These colors are unique -- your audience has never seen such rich, violet-hued laser beams.

  Amber 50
  Amber 5

Lumalaser Beamburst Amber laser show projectorsThe Amber compact projectors use long-life, cool-running red and green laser diodes. You can mix these colors to get shades including red, orange, yellow, yellow-green and lime-green.

There are two different Amber power levels, depending on your room size: 50 and 5 mW (1/20, and 1/200 watt). If your venue is large, go for the higher-powered Amber 50. At the other end of the power spectrum, the Amber 5 is low enough power that you can use it without needing a U.S. government laser license (variance).

The Amber 50 video shows a basic beam sequence from across the room, and then a close-up of the projector (23 seconds)

  Emerald 50
  NEW! Emerald 20
  Emerald 5

Lumalaser Beamburst Amber laser show projectorsThe Emerald compact projectors feature high-visibility green laser diodes. In fact, the human eye is most sensitive to this particular lime-green color (also used in the multi-colored Amber series).

What this means is that your audience will see these beams better than any other color (assuming equivalent laser power).

There are three different Emerald power levels, depending on your room size: 50, 20 and 5 mW (1/20, 1/50 and 1/200 watt). If your venue is large, go for the highest-powered and most visible Emerald 50. At the other end of the power spectrum, the Emerald 5 is low enough power that you can use it without needing a U.S. government laser license (variance).

   NEW! Ruby 50
   Ruby 5

Lumalaser Beamburst Ruby/Emerald series laser show projectors -- click for larger imageRed lasers are generally more economical than other colors. The Ruby 50 and 5 use laser diodes that produce cost-effective red light.

There are two different Ruby power levels, depending on your room size: 50 and 5 mW (1/20, and 1/200 watt). If your venue is large, go for the higher-powered Ruby 50. At the other end of the power spectrum, the Ruby 5 is low enough power that you can use it without needing a U.S. government laser license (variance).

Many clubs install multiple Ruby 5 units, to give good coverage and a large quantity of beams.

SCANNING EFFECT ACCESSORIES

Beams are great, but you can get an entirely new class of effects with Beamburst scan accessories.

  • Create "liquid sky" and "cloud wall" type effects, by scanning lines through theatrical fog.

  • Project abstract shapes.

  • Write text and scrolling phrases on any surface.

  Lumascan

Lumascan keypad, interface box, and scan headProject shapes, words and outline graphics with the Lumascan accessory. You get a keypad for shape and text selection, an interface/controller box, and a scanhead. The Lumascan fits Beamburst, Mobolazer, Omnisistem and other 3/4" aperture laser beam projectors.

The state-of-the-art Colorburst series can do it all -- the dazzling logos, text, drawings, abstracts and animations you've seen at major laser shows, concerts and planetariums.

Anything you can draw in laser, you can show with Colorburst. It uses industry-standard scanners, for full compatibility with laser graphic computers. Create your own show or start with hundreds of pre-existing laser displays.

Click for larger photoIn addition, the Colorburst series also does amazing beam shows. Just aim the projector towards the audience, and mist the air with theatrical haze or fog. The ILDA 30K scanners can produce any shape or number of beams. This unlimited control lets you create any beam show, from high-energy Star Wars to majestic and dreamlike.

COLORBURST PROJECTORS

There are two projectors in the Colorburst series; they are briefly summarized below. For more detailed information, see Colorburst Models & Specifications.

  Colorburst

The Colorburst compact, full-color laser show projectorThe original Colorburst laser show projector is a complete full-color RGB projector the size of a shoebox. It combines a red laser diode with the green and blue of an air-cooled argon laser. By mixing these three primaries, you get all the shimmering, spectrally pure rainbow colors that only a laser can create.

The Colorburst is perfect for studio use, client previews, and small- and medium-sized shows.

  Colorburst Jr.

The Colorburst Jr. has the same sophisticated scanners, but in a smaller package that draws less power. It combines a red and green laser diode; when mixed together, you get a third yellow color.

The Colorburst Jr. is for those on a budget, or who don't need the full-spectrum color range of the original Colorburst.

It's also great for the studios of laser artists. You can see all the colors on the computer graphics screen, so the Colorburst Jr. is needed primarily to perfect the graphic shapes and movements.
